Childhood

I’m at the dead girl’s playground now
This is the perfect playground
With the swing where she always tried to reach
She reached for the place where dreams go when the daylight comes
The sandpit which turned in to the biggest desert in the world
No, the whole universe
The perfect green grass, with the big trees
Where she ran alongside the elephants and lions and dragons
Yes, the dragons
There were so many of them, but they are all gone now
So are the desert and the dreams on the swing

The dead girl’s smiles has gone blank
Her laughter is no where to be heard
Her innocent is far behind, somewhere in the dark
Innocents
When did the perfect line “can I play with you” turn in to something else

The only thing the dead girl dreams of now is to come back
To that perfect place
To the perfect state of mind
But she can’t
She is too old now
Just too old
